Ilene Ellickson has expressed herself through the photographic medium for over 30 years. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Ilene spent 20 years in the San Francisco Bay area developing her style and expanding her subject matter before moving to western Washington in 2000. Her work showcases a wide range of themes. Whether flowers, fenders, or fences, a distinct and vivid sensibility characterizes each black and white and color print. Ilene’s photographs have been displayed in numerous galleries and are in private collections throughout the United States.
Sharon Calandra and Connie Rizzo-Peters were two very remarkable women. As my sister artists and beloved friends, they were always a source of inspiration and encouragement. It is my privilege to dedicate the artwork in this website in celebration of their lives and in honor of their memories. |
